Treatments
Gentle, Japanese-style acupuncture, traditionally used to support balance, relaxation and general wellbeing.
Acupuncture is the heart of what we do. Using hair-fine needles placed at specific points, we help guide your body back toward balance, easing tension, calming the nervous system, and supporting its own natural healing.
We practise a gentle, Japanese style of acupuncture. The needles are thinner, placed more shallowly, and used with a lighter touch than you might expect, most people barely feel them, and plenty drift off to sleep on the table. Trained with a sensei in Japan, Alastair brings over a decade of refinement to this work. Reanna brings a precise, intuitive touch honed over years of careful hands-on practice.
People come to us for stress and anxiety, sleep, aches and pains, digestive and respiratory concerns, women's health, and that hard-to-name sense of being a bit run-down. No two treatments at Being are the same, we tailor every session to you on the day, often blending acupuncture with cupping, moxa or herbs in a single visit.
Often, very little, a tiny tap, a faint warmth, then deep relaxation. If anything's ever uncomfortable, you tell us and we adjust. You're in charge the whole way through.
Questions
For most people, barely or not at all. Our Japanese-style needles are ultra-fine and shallowly placed. You might feel a tiny tap or faint warmth, sharp pain isn't normal, and we adjust straight away if anything's uncomfortable.
It depends on what's going on. Some concerns ease in a visit or two. Longer-standing ones settle with a short series. We'll give you an honest sense at your first appointment.
Yes, we have HICAPS on-site, so if your private health fund covers acupuncture you can claim your rebate on the spot and only pay the gap. Bring your fund card.
