Our story

Since 2019.

Being Acupuncture and Natural Medicine opened above Maverick on Griffith Street in 2019, built around a simple idea. treatment should feel like being properly listened to, not rushed through. That is still true of every appointment today.

We practise a gentle, Japanese style of acupuncture. The needles are thinner, placed more shallowly, and used with a lighter touch than you might expect. Most people barely feel them, and plenty drift off to sleep on the table. It is often blended with cupping, moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicine or process work, whatever the day calls for.

We are set up with HICAPS on site, so if your health fund covers acupuncture, you claim your rebate on the spot and only pay the gap. No paperwork to chase afterwards.

Reanna

Founder. A precise, intuitive touch honed over years of careful hands on practice. AHPRA registered acupuncturist.

Alastair

Trained with a sensei in Japan, with over a decade refining this work and advanced study in classical herbalism. AHPRA registered acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner.

Registration

Registered practitioners.

Both practitioners are registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia through AHPRA, the national regulator of health practitioners.
